Reminds me of a "campout" (the kids camped, adults slept in a cabin) when I was in scouts, one of the adults was an ornithologist for the conservation commission. That night, Dad was messing with the youth by making "nature" sounds, including a loud "whoot" sound. Shortly after he made that one, our dear ornithologist came out with the scoutmaster and other adults telling them it was some sort of rare owl.
