I approached it a little differently - I set up a Samba printer that 
converts incoming print jobs into PDF on the fly and moves them to 
users' home directories (but could be anywhere, really). One problem 
with PDF converter in Linux that I encountered is that it has problems 
with certain fonts - letters jam onto each other and spaces between 
words are lost sometimes. So I keep the PS version around in case I need 
a perfect copy :)
