I'm stuck in the land of Winbl0wz lusers and their MS Office compatability issues. PS isn't likely to be a burning need anytime soon, except in the use mentioned here. We have too many users who think they need Acrobat Writer, and too few licenses for even those who actually do. Not to mention the fact that writer/distiller is crapware.

There were two for perl that I found then, and at least one for php at the time, as thats what the list suggested I use instead. I know there are python equivalents, and more php equivalents now, but that was at my old job where I got to use *nix more often, but in a very limited way.

It is until you think about it. Adobe has gotten a big ego, and thinks it can pull an MS and quit making working software in favor of just charging on a monopoly basis. I'm hoping a reality check destroys them in the near future.
