Nah. Putty just sucks. I've had trouble with it connecting from an XP
box to a FreeBSD server, but it connects fine to a SUN server. Was there
a maintenance upgrade on SSH on the server any time recently?

Has she kept up to date with her patches, what login error is she
recieving, and did she notice an inordinant level of internet activity
just prior to rebooting?
