Nor did I disparage the people who wanted a meeting with alcohol involved. I simply asked if anyone else wanted a non-alcoholic meeting. The result: A bunch of beer advocates get upset and act like I'm infringing upon their rights by not wanting to be around them when they're drinking. I have friends who drink, in fact, most of my friends drink. I've even stated here that I believe there is nothing wrong with drinking. I personally find the results unpleasant, but as has been stated already, that doesn't mean you can't have your meeting without me or anyone else who doesn't like it.

Now to your analogy. I have nothing against people swallowing frogs either, so long as I don't have to watch. I feel the same way about most things. As long as it doesn't involve me, then do whatever the hell you want.

For the last time, all I said was that I would like an alcohol free meeting.

I would prefer to meet in Columbia or Jefferson City at one of the libraries, unless someone has a better idea. I've not been inside the Columbia library, but it looked like it had decent facilities. Alternatives that would allow for PC's to be set up would be preferable. The JC library upstairs could hold such a meeting, but of course there's no net access in the meeting rooms. I assume a similar meeting room exists in the Columbia library.

Email me off the list if interested. I don't want to get into another discourse over how people like their booze and how I'm a terrible person for not being around it.
