Correction:
Mac OS 9 - seems like it will work but crashes.
Mac OS X - does work, or a unix equivalent, but may be slow depending on optimizations
Course, Mac OS X IS a unix system, so I guess that'd also count in the first one.  Except that it does seem like it would work :)
