I haven't ran Oracle so I can't say but I will note that I have millions
of files taking up hundreds of gigs and Reiser has worked far and away
better for me than Ext3 has. It handles everything from tiny files to
multi-gig files without problem - with less wasted hdd space and less cpu
load than Ext3. I wish he'd listed what filesystem options he tried. I'm
assuming he took the default configurations since he didn't list such
options.
