[MLUG - DISCUSSION] wirelss network vs wirelss phone

The roommate and I have decidec that for both of us to survive, the 
wirless situation at our house needs to change. He loves his 2.4G phone, 
and I have several 2.4G devices (mostly video transmitter right now, but 
I'm considering 802.11x to get rid of some wires). He's decided he can 
give up his phone, but wants a 5.8G because he's never met a 900M he likes.

Has anyone had any experience with this? Will the stronger transmitting 
5.8G still walk over my 2.4G signals?
