No, but it shows a propensity for such, more smart people went to collge than stupid. Well, in the over 30 crowd anyway, the modern college system rewards stupidity. I had a hard time with certain classes because my answers confused the teacher. One positive example though, I had an english teacher who asked me for help grading my essay. He left it open ended, any subject we wanted to discuss. I picked dyson spheres. I used everything from Feedman Dyson's book to the Ringworld Throne forward for references, he understood my language, but couldn't verify my information as the sources were either too obscure (Dyson and his co-horts in the scientific community) or required reading outside his interest (Ringworld, Star Trek).

Why would bad recessives show up more later in life? That might make an interesting study.. Or am I mistaken about aspergers syndrome being attributed to a recessive?

IIRC, Schizophrenia can also be caused by stressful situations, parents who are too smart to let you get away with anything might be such a case. ;-)
