Yes, you are right, PuTTY does now support port forwarding. It is very
easy to use it with VNC. I ran across this on the net...

...and easily set up my ssh tunnel in PuTTY (despite the missing figures
on the web page).
If anyone else has a nice web page that shows how it's done (with decent
figures), please let us know. It's nice to be able to refer students and
employees to a web page with easy instructions.
