You're suggesting it'd be plausible to rip data from the video output?
That sounds processor intensive and error prone too. Also it brings to
mind the issue of unwanted extras in the output from the vcr.
Maybe I'd be better off just building my own vcr from parts. What I really
need is one of the old vcr's like they had before onscreen programming and
wireless remotes but I don't know if such things are sold brand new these
days. I want something like would be found in a video editing unit.
