I'm wanting to avoid going with IR because it seems flakey to me for a
unit that would be unmanned for long bouts of heavy usage. Possibly that
is just a misconception on my part but in this case there is little room
for failure. I'd like to be able to not only make a command but also to
verify it's being carried out.
