Not really.  The Russians can get them back if necessary, and when their 
next supplies arrive they'd be fine until June if it came to that.  Others
will say that we need to continue the shuttle program because we need to 
finish the ISS.  But the ISS is one of the more bizarre and useless 
projects ever conceived of.  There are so many worthwhile space research 
projects around it's absolutely stunning we've hit on two of the more 
useless and risky ones.
