I like surround sound in video games more than I do when watching movies.
In most movies you don't really notice except now and then you think a dog
is outside barking or someone pulled into your driveway because the only
stuff that really registers is shitty sound effect type stuff. I will say
certain movies that are musical (RHPS and Grease come to mind) the extra
speakers really pay off and you can hear a major difference. As I said it
also makes a real improvement on certain video games (Skies of Arcadia
comes to mind) too.
