Just a small observation without answering the main question.. it's worth
checking the various video/audio outputs each device offers. A given
technology might usually be better and yet suck worse in a given device
because of the makers design decisions. I've seen that to be a problem in
vcr's and dvd players. Also it seems certain surround sound systems (like
the one we had) were on the same bit of bandwidth that the dvd player was
as far as remote controls so that say fast forwarding would change you
audio input.. very annoying. Good to check out while the things are still
returnable (or before buying if possible).
