DTI is a bankrupt firm that built an optical loop from St. Louis to
Columbia to Jeff City, and they're selling assets.  CenturyTel
paid $38 million for this piece of network:

So the question is...is this going to have any positive effect on
us in Columbia, or is this just the local phone company scrambling
to catch up in local infrastructure?
