I think stallman has a slight grudge with Linux in general. And I think
his grudge extends more at the 'commerical' Linuxes. He runs Debian
GNU/Linux (and you have to say it that way in front of him or he gets
upset) He mentioned that he doesn't consider Linux that "free' due they
offer proprietary programs that are not open source (he's allergic to that
phrase as well) The view that if Linux were truely free, they would not
offer proprietary programs at all for part of the packages. Like netscape
and such.

I know people who buy Red Hat and Suse because They want to support the
company in selling the alternative to Microsoft. One of my friends out
here, she loves her mac and she loves her SuSE :) Ane she is MORE than
happy to pay money for them. Microsoft wouldn't want to support windows
for the fact that they would lose more customers on their upgrades when
they release somehting new... If people are led to believe that the next
release is better, then they will buy it. Just marketing conspiaracy :)
