Once upon a time I had a cute toy that stuck on my head and plugged into a
PC serial port and came with software that let you study your brain waves
and do some basic neurofeedback. Anyway it had a simple interface and was
cheap (like $20) so I eventually worked it into working as a mouse for
anyone bored enough to train themselves to do so.
I'm wanting to recreate this gizmo for Linux but am not finding any of the
hardware devices like I used last time (just much fancier $1000+ versions)
and wondered if any of your psych folks knew where I could find something
like this on the cheap. It'd be nice if the device fed waveforms as it's
output because that's what I had last time and it made it really easy to
hook into a voice recognition library.
If I can find one I was going to make a Python program to play with it's
output and maybe try to hook it up to drive a mouse again or work for
keystroke macros or something such as that. :)
