I've carried all kinds of odd things onto planes and buses without any
reactions. Long knives, electronic parts, animal skulls, etc. Never any
trouble. Haven't tried since the whole WTC thing though. Been to poor to
fly. LOL
Only time I was ever hassled was when going by bus.. I think it was in
Nashville. Some murderer had just escaped that matched my description and
the cop came over and did the full thing on me checking for weapons and
all that. Was sort of cool.
