I would like to undergo that transformation but it doesn't look like it's
going to happen this year.  Nobu Matsuhisa has a few restaurants named
Nobu -- in Paris, London, New York, Tokyo and Malibu (there may be others,
but at least those definitely exist).  His first restaurant is here in LA
and it is called Matsuhisa.  I wanted to go to either Nobu of Malibu or
Matsuhisa, but a friend in LA took me to Noma instead.  Well, it wasn't
anything mind blowing.  It was OK, but we can get sushi just as good in
Minneapolis.  So it looks like I'll wait until my next visit to hit the
good places!

I'm here for a meeting where I paid a fee that covered room and board --
so I'm staying in what is basically a nice dorm room and eating usually in
the student cafeteria.  The students here it *very* well -- it's amazing.
They must all be rich.
