I've not seen the sculpture, only a blob of yellow on the library page, I'm
just saying that it being a donation doesn't exempt the public from
complaining. I don't think any art will please everyone. Some art is just
less displeasing than others.
Conversely, I don't think there is any art that will displease everyone.
Some people actually thought a bottle of urine with a religious picture in
it was art and praised it. It does lead to speculation about what that
artists afterlife will be like though ;-)
