When we had one last year, it definitely caught stuff, but it only
had 6 or so "catchers", and each of those would be "closed for
digestion" a certain portion of the time, so I doubt it would work
on large buggy hordes. (And they do dry out and die *very* quickly
if you're not careful.)
Then I knew somebody who got a gecko to patrol his place for bugs.
That sort of worked...except the gecko was fairly picky and given a
choice would not off just any old bug that happened on the scene.
And so it ended up being a straight-up pet gig for the lizard in
pretty short order.
