I'm new to the list so haven't been keeping up with this thread sorry.

I bave had Linux running on a Deskpro (Eridani Linux www.eridani.co.uk)
which is similar to RedHat 6.2. What distro are you using? My experience is
that RedHat is definitely the distro that gets on best with Compaq machines.

Have you worked through the Linux Compaq Deskpro howto?
