I meant "America Friendly" in how they are portrayed (enemy/ally) by the
gov/media. As long as an OPEC country gives us a steady reliable supply of
oil, they are OK in our eyes. Once this stability is interrupted (usually
by the oppressed citizens demanding justice/democracy), then we declare
them an enemy and plot against them (usually through the guise of "military
aid").
The more "aid" we give a nation, the more its people, and democracy suffer.
Ironic, huh?
>Don't confuse "America Friendly" with "American Owned" OPEC has never been
>america friendly. Its merely been trying to figure out how much it can
>extract from american consumers without spurring them to other sources of
>energy.
