Instantly: occurring at the exact moment in time.

We're talking relative simultaneous, or at least close enough to such that
real time conversations, and infantessimal lag are possible.

You're talking again, linear travel time, we're talking about non-linear
transmission.  Also, we don't know where we'll be colonizing, but we have to
assume similar relative motion.  There are many factors yet to be worked out
for interstellar communication.  Right now we're just trying to figure out
how to do it without waiting through light speed travel.
