It isn't that people are happy that makes a culture like ours.  It is that
people think they are pursuing happiness.

As for getting laid, you want that part, you don't want the kids, simply
because they're not convenient, useful, etc.  (generalizing, of course, you
may actually want kids, for all I know)  The less wealthy, of course, have
different views.  Kids are labor, tax exemptions, etc.
