As Matt described in this method sub-atomic particles are vibrated to
cause other particles across any distance to instantly vibrate in tune.
Nothing actually gets moved.. it's just some weird property of sub-atomic
particles they're trying to make use of. So in this case there should be
no noticable lag regardless of the distances involved. I've heard that
NASA was working on this among others.. as obviously it'd help a lot for
probes. :)
You could ssh to the other side of the galaxy without a problem if you had
network cards made with this science (not really a technology yet as
they've had no practical gizmos from it yet).
