Actually, the issue with "regardless" and "myself" are pretty much
universal, while "nucular" and other bizarre pronunciations appear
to be the local dialect. So my six year old son can rhyme "far"
and "fire", goes "nucular", and talks about these weird things
called "kellers" that seem to correspond to "colors".
Sigh. Here I was, relieved that we'd yanked him out of California
just in time so that he would not use "dude" as a pronoun his whole
life ("Dude needs to sysadmin where he can score time out to surf"),
or go years without ever speaking the word "said" (As in: "You know,
he's like 'I have to see other people', and I'm like 'So who do you
think would like to date a geek like you?')
