APC's powerchute does not require APM. The powerchute application is pre-
compiled with an install script that will setup the directories and copy it's
startup script to the /etc/rc.d directory...
I have it working on a Slack box at my work.... Plus, I believe APC has an
actual powerchute RPM for RH and RH clones...
