Any objections to boring holes through the support beams?  Of course, I'm
going off how they wired my house originally, this may be a very bad idea.
Check with someone with sense before taking my advice.

Those wall sockets are a lot easier to do than the plugs.  The ones I've
seen (at Lowes) snap together, rather than needing any special tool.
