I'm not quite sure what an XML database is. I frequently write very simple
tools to import/export data to SQL-based db's from XML and it isn't much
effort. I suppose if the db could do it for you that'd be great but I'm
not sure it'd be as flexible as just processing the data yourself. For me
at least I often represent the data as XML slightly different than the
actual db is structured.
