I was sort of thinking of writing a generic file server that can accept
and respond to requests for files via various means such as Jabber, IRC,
email, and usenet. Does anyone know of any examples of such a program for
Linux that already exists?

Mostly I just want to fool around with some strange ideas I have of
pissing off my ISP who won't let me serve files via ftp/http but partly am
interested in the programming challenge of such an extensible file server.
Thanks.
