Here's my humble contribution --

The class started out as usual. To my surprise, the usual number of
people showed up. Graded homework was handed out and new assignments
were given out as well. All old business was taken care of, and then I
said the two dreadful words that drastically changed the athmosphere in
class -- "Pop Quiz!"

Oh boy, was I hated... It was so obvious. They lightened up a bit when I
said it was for extra credit. As they were completing the test, most
students kept pretty quiet... They just weren't sure what to think,
IMHO. Anyway, it's all over now. The results of my April 1 quiz are
