Exactly. In most country cars seem to be designed in a way that makes a
lot more sense. I'm espeically fond of the fact that in many places
bicycles and electric/manual combo vehicles play such an important role.
Here in America the Honda Insight is the vehicle I like most (Is also the
Primus or something like that but I haven't looked at it as much) and
would like to see more vehicles of that line. An Insight that was a
convertible (don't need A/C) and had a little more cargo space would be
fantastic IMO. I think the Primus or whatever it is called has more
internal space and does better on in-town driving so it may be even
better.
For in-town driving I'm a strong supporter of electric boosted
bicycles. Some of them are quite nice.. made for more than one person
and/or cargo with a range of up to about 60 miles on a charge and speeds
of up to about 60mph. Quite impressive I think and very practical. They
typically cost < $1500 too.
