Exactly. A car from that period that hits a car from this period shreds
most modern cars. The lil plastic bubble cars get smashed like a tin
can. Not that I don't think Civics are decent cars but it'd take a lot to
convince me they are really safer. The current craze in SUV's certainly
hasn't proven to be very safe (or fuel efficient) and a lot of other
popular cars don't seem any safer. I do think there is that difference
between common cars and the more expensive models.
