Thanks for this info.  It is very interesting, but I'm not sure exactly
what rootless and rooted mean.  Maybe if you gave an example of something
that could be done rootless but not rooted I would understand better.

Does 'rooted' mean that it is in a fullscreen mode?  And 'rootless' mean
that it is in a window that can be minimized, etc.?  If so, that is
excellent.
