How is it not OOP? Sure, you don't _have_ to make it OOP, but you can have
objects and stuff if you feel like it. If you want to look at an example of
making the code cleaner and structured, look at Michael's KFL (Kavlon
Foundation Layer, on freshmeat). It's basically an OOP framework that lets
you make everything much more structured.
