Exactly. Furthermore, VCRs have to convert from NTSC to some other standard
for recording. That's why you get such crappy quality when you record or
copy tapes. I have seen some PAL VCRs, and the quality looks the same that I
get through cable. I can not say the same thing about US VCRs - they make
the picture look like a realvideo stream with low resolution and bad colors.
