The first thought that pops into my head is "stupid is as stupid does".
Once again someone proposes to protect us by keeping us stupid. I
especially enjoyed this:
"In many cases, it's possible to build a tool that performs non-destructive
testing and can only be used by a legitimate system administrator."
This is stated after he admits that security vulnerabilities are here to
stay. I guess he never thought about someone hacking his "non-destructive
tool" or ill-gotten admin priveliges.
Hell, it goes beyond 'obscurity', this is security through prohibition. It
is secure because Bill G said so. Just like open source is un-American.
