It's right next door to the Minnesota Supercomputing Institute, a big
building full of supercomputers (http://www.msi.umn.edu/).  I do research
in statistical genetics and have an affiliation with the Institute of
Human Genetics (http://www.ihg.med.umn.edu/), so we have plenty of use for
fast computers.

Because we have to share the supercomputers with so many other users, I'm
thinking about trying to set up my own linux beowulf cluster.  I'll be
writing a lot more about that later.
