For the record, any admin who cared to pay attention and keep his/her box
maintained would not have been infected by Code Red. MS was patching IIS
security as early as March. Code Red is only a fact of life because people
are too lazy to keep their stuff up-to-date. MS took care of Code Red
before it became a serious issue, and admins could easily have prevented
things from getting out of hand by actually maintaining their equipment.

Hence, if an admin took the time to maintain his stuff, there's a good
chance he didn't get Code Red. Infection is only regarded as inevitable by
people too ignorant and/or lazy to apply the patch.
