They can be depending on what brand name and type you get.
Most lap tops now a days have two pcmcia slots.. I think.
Just something to consider.

That sounds like it could work, but I don't think I can fit two ethernet
cards in my laptop.  Also, laptop ethernet cards are expensive, aren't
they?
