Also, in case others didn't know, it is possible to compile Pine with LDAP
support, which I have done (thus it wasn't hard), and pine will then
automatically look up addresses for you.
In pine with LDAP, if I enter "procter michael" (without the quotes) on
the To or Cc line and hit Enter, this appears:
Procter, Adam Michael (UMC-Student)
Sophomore
EMAIL:PROTECTED
Procter, Michael H.
Programmer/Analyst - Expert
EMAIL:PROTECTED
Then I use the arrow keys to select one. I have Pine configured to allow
me to automatically enter the name in my address book, but I usually don't
bother. So I select the second choice from above and this is what pine
will send to:
"Procter, Michael H." <EMAIL:PROTECTED>
Not bad, eh? Pine will also access your mail by imap and allow you to
keep multiple inboxes. It's really good. ;-)
