I don't buy this whole RAM excuse at all. "Computer is slow? Buy more
RAM!" That's wrong. Things *can* be made compact and feature-rich at the
same time. Just look at Steve Gibson's products. It's just nobody cares
anymore for the sake of portability. My laptop will eventually have to
settle for the one final version of RedHat (and KDE and Netscape) simply
because it won't be able to handle new ones anymore. And guess what --
it'll be just fine by me.
A while back someone mentioned disposable electronics (phones?) that are
made of paper. That's a nice idea. Too bad that current technology is
disposable already, and it's much more expensive, too...
