Don't you think programming HTML "in IE, for IE" has a lot to do with
it? Netscape is not as forgiving as IE if you omit a closing tag
somewhere in the page, especially if it's a </table>. I use Netscape to
verify my code all the time, and I barely ever use IE, only to do a
quick check. Yes, blank pages get annoying really quickly when I'm
trying to get my work done, but I know for a fact that I made an error
in the code right away. I also know when a website has been made by one
of those lame IE-only "web designers" 'cause it loads but doesn't show
up.
I don't know about Mozilla because I don't like it and never use it.
Mozilla is like an obese Netscape with most useful functionality
missing... uh, I mean, "in development." As for loading pages "right",
every single browser displays pages differently despite all those
"standards" they supposedly support.
What all Microsoft software has in common is that it likes to make a lot
of assumptions for the user. And usually they are all the wrong ones.
