They go up and down, but the downs are bigger than the ups, on average,
because prices have declined massively over the years. We aren't
returning to $40/MB ever again. Right now we're experiencing a glut with
consumers purchasing less RAM and fewer PCs than a year or so ago. I
expect that to continue for a little while -- maybe XP will change things
-- but until something changes purchasing patterns, I expect prices to
stay down.
