Why is it that almost every week I read about some bastard kid somewhere
that gets messed up doing something stupid like that. Then the parents go
and blame the people that didnt completely eliminate all threats to their
childs well being and start sueing everyone. When I was a kid my dad used to
watch me do the few stupid things I would do early on and let me do them so
I would learn. Somethin like "Guest: Dont you think you should keep your
child from poking into that socket with a hairpin? Dad: Naww, He'll learn"
And I did, obviously Neil you were taught that same type of fear and respect
for unknown things. I just hate it when stupid people blame others for their
inability to care for their own kids.

I'm sure it was a boxing turtle. My dad used to keep them when I was
little. My grandpa used to keep snapping turtles in a barrel, and seeing
them bite the ends off sticks if a very frightening thing. I never messed
with them. I didn't want to be that stupid kid on the news who was poking
turtles in a barrel and had the barrel tip on top of him. No thanks. I'll
pass on being pinned by a barrel while the snapping turtles bite my eyes
out :)

Regards,
Neil
