Myself I'm for solar and nucleur powered vehicles as well as good old foot
power. We were looking at getting an Insight (which get around
70MPG) since the Civic is broken but I doubt we can swing the loan right
now. Darn!

I agree a lot of people have big stupid cars they don't really
need. People also tend to leave their tv/radio/whatever going a lot when
they aren't using them and otherwise waste a lot of energy. This country
is very wasteful which greatly annoys me but it really isn't surprising
since we're encouraged by commercials and media to consume more of
everything.

Many other countries do much better in having small vehicles that are
designed exactly for what they'll get used for and people actually know
how to walk (oh my gawd!) and don't expect to be able to use an endless
amount of the worlds resources in general. We're a bunch of spoiled
wankers.
