Scary stuff. Kinda cool/interesting/intriguing though. I figure that I do
enough things online and have given up enough verbally through the years
that there isn't much that can't be had about me. I'm fine with that; if
someone doesn't want to give me a job in a few years because I ran warez as
a 14 year old then so be it. This is part of the reason I no longer do
politics much; I would've never been elected. There are too many
questionable things regarding me and that doesn't even touch on the people
surrounding me. I mean, for gods sake; read through the MLUG archives to
find out a ton about many of us. If I was really scared about someone
knowing what I do for a living I sure as hell wouldn't be posting it here.
I'm pretty open; I think it's easier to know and accept what is out there
about yourself than to try to keep everything secret and not know.

Or, worse, come after me if Mogmios ever tries to get a security
clearance. (When you go up for one, they make you identify and try to
find on their own people who have known you for X years. Then a federal
agent comes and asks you (sometimes rather personal) questions about the
"target", while all along you're trying to figure out why friend Y gave
*you* up as the squeaky clean reference type. So a decade ago, I ended
up
doing like 3 of these one year for different people, and in the process
of
giving the third one, I realized from the quesions they were asking that
*they* knew enough about by salad days to be fishing for answers like
"nah, Jeff never did hang around with us very much when I was living in
that apartment in the activist ghetto in New Haven with the illegal
alien,
the CISPES members and the guy who organized the anti-CIA protest". :-)
